Early Life and Career

Piotr Świerczewski is a retired Polish footballer who played as a defender. He was born on April 8, 1972, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Świerczewski began his career with the local club Sandecja Nowy Sącz. In 1993, he moved to Polish top-flight club Górnik Zabrze. He quickly established himself as a key player for the team. He made over 100 appearances for Górnik Zabrze and helped the team win the Polish Cup in 1995.

International career

Świerczewski made his international debut for Poland in 1992. He went on to make over 70 appearances for his country. He was part of the Polish team that participated in the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
