Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins Also Cleared for Return
The Golden State Warriors received a major boost on Friday as Draymond Green and Klay Thompson were upgraded to probable for Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the New Orleans Pelicans. Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins have also been cleared to return for the Warriors.
Green has been sidelined since Game 2 of the series with a right knee contusion, while Thompson missed Game 3 with a right knee tendonitis. Curry has been out since Game 4 of the first round against the Denver Nuggets with a left foot sprain, and Wiggins has missed the last two games with a right ankle sprain.
The return of Green, Thompson, Curry, and Wiggins is a huge boost for the Warriors, who are tied 2-2 with the Pelicans heading into Game 4 on Friday night in San Francisco.
Green is a key part of the Warriors' defense, while Thompson is one of the team's most dangerous shooters. Curry is the reigning NBA Finals MVP and is still the heart and soul of the Warriors. Wiggins has been a valuable contributor this season, averaging 17.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
With Curry, Thompson, Green, and Wiggins all back in the lineup, the Warriors will be at full strength for the first time in the playoffs this season. They will be looking to take a 3-2 lead in the series and put the Pelicans on the brink of elimination.
